Rice with Mango and Eastern Spices

Ingredients
- Long-Grain Rice 1 cup
- Ghee 1 teaspoon
- Mango 1 piece
- Ground clove 5 pieces
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- Black Cumin (Cumin) to taste
- Star anise to taste
- Cardamom to taste
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat ghee in a deep skillet and lightly sauté the spices.
Step 2
Add rinsed rice and fry, stirring, for 3–4 minutes.
Step 3
Pour 2.5 cups of water into the skillet, add salt, bring to a boil, and simmer covered until cooked.
Step 4
Remove the spices from the porridge.
Step 5
Wash the mango, peel it, cut it into cubes, add it to the porridge along with the sugar, and mix well.
Step 6
This porridge should be served with fried or stewed pork.
