Rice with Ham
Ingredients
- Rice 5 oz
- Ham 15 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Raisins to taste
- Soy Sauce 5 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
- Apple 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the rice (it should yield about three cups).
Step 2
Dice the onion and garlic, not too finely.
Step 3
In vegetable oil, sauté the onion and garlic until a light golden crust appears and the house is filled with the appetizing aroma of fried onion.
Step 4
Add the meat. Season with pepper. Sauté again until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Add the raisins and mix. Keep everything on high heat.
Step 6
Add the rice. Mix well.
Step 7
Add the soy sauce (instead of salt). Mix again. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
Step 8
At the very end, add the diced apple. Mix. Turn off the heat. Cover and let it sit for another 5 minutes.
