  • Basmati rice 1 cup
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Chicken Broth 15 fl oz
  • Leek 1 head
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Fajitas sauce 0 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Mild Chili Spice to taste
  • Oregano to taste
  • Basil to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Chop the leek and garlic. Sauté in butter until lightly browned.

Step 2

Add the broth and pour in the uncooked rice. Stir and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Add the salsa sauce (you can use any tomato-based sauce if desired), season to taste, bring to a boil, stir, and let it simmer on low heat with the lid on for 20–25 minutes until the rice is cooked. During this time, stir the dish occasionally.
