Ingredients

  • Boiled White Round Rice 2 cups
  • Raisins 0 oz
  • Fig 5 oz
  • Dried Apricots 5 oz
  • Dates 0 oz
  • Milk 1 cup
  • 10% cream 1 cup
  • Egg white 4 pieces
  • Grated Ginger Root ½ teaspoon
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Rinse all dried fruits in hot water and dry them.

Step 2

Finely chop all dried fruits except for the raisins.

Step 3

Boil 2 cups of rice in a pot with 4 cups of water until evaporated.

Step 4

Add the chopped dried fruits and ground ginger to the rice and mix.

Step 5

Pour in the milk and cream, and cook until the liquid is absorbed.

Step 6

Let the mixture cool slightly.

Step 7

Beat the 4 egg whites with ½ cup of sugar using a mixer and combine with the rice mixture.

Step 8

Divide the mixture into molds and place them on a baking sheet with water.

Step 9

Top each with a piece of butter.

Step 10

Bake for 30–40 minutes at 345°F.
