Rabbit stewed in sour cream with onions
Ingredients
- Onion 2 heads
- Rabbit 1 piece
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Oregano to taste
- Olive Oil 5 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the rabbit into small pieces, season with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Heat olive oil in a pot or deep skillet.
Step 3
Sauté the pieces of rabbit in this oil until they are lightly browned.
Step 4
Remove the rabbit and sauté the coarsely chopped onion in the same oil until it becomes slightly translucent.
Step 5
Add oregano to the onion and sauté for another 30 seconds.
Step 6
Return the pieces of rabbit to the pot, stir, and add enough water to just cover the top pieces of rabbit.
Step 7
Sauté for 20 minutes.
Step 8
After 20 minutes, add sour cream and simmer for another 40 minutes.
