Rabbit Liver with Cumin

Ingredients

  • Veal Liver 20 oz
  • Turnips 2 pieces
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Black Cumin (Cumin) 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Mixed salad greens to taste
  • Olive Oil to taste
  • Butter to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel and dice the onion.

Step 2

Peel and grate the carrots.

Step 3

Sauté the onion and carrots in a mixture of butter and olive oil. Add cumin (0.5 teaspoon) and salt. Continue cooking.

Step 4

Clean the liver and cut it into pieces as preferred. It can be cut into fairly large chunks.

Step 5

Remove the onion and carrots from the skillet to a plate.

Step 6

In the same skillet, fry the liver on both sides until golden brown.

Step 7

Then season with salt and pepper to taste, add the remaining cumin. Cover with a lid and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat.

Step 8

Add the onion and carrots back, continue to simmer until cooked through.

Step 9

Serve the liver with salad leaves.
