Ingredients

  • Fresh Mushrooms 20 oz
  • Butter 1 tablespoon
  • Shallot 2 pieces
  • Garlic 1 clove
  • Chicken Broth ¾ cup
  • Cream (40%) ¼ cup
  • Thyme 2 sprigs
  • Chives 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems. Cut the caps into medium pieces.

Step 2

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped shallots and minced garlic and cook, stirring, for 15 minutes until softened. Then add the chopped mushroom caps and cook until all the liquid evaporates.

Step 3

Pour in the broth and cook for another 5 minutes. Add the cream and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add the chopped chives and thyme sprigs. Season with salt and pepper.
