Potato Gratin Baked with Cheese and Turkey in Cream Sauce with Tomatoes
Main Dishes • French
Description
Potato gratin baked with cheese and turkey in a creamy sauce, topped with tomatoes.
Ingredients
- Potato 4 pieces
- Cheese Spread 10 oz
- Tomatoes 3 pieces
- Cream 10 oz
- Chicken fillet 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the potatoes, peel them, and slice them into thin rounds (I specified 4 here, but you can use fewer or more).
Step 2
Grate the cheese using a coarse grater.
Step 3
In a skillet, bring the cream to a boil, add the potatoes. Season with salt and simmer on low heat.
Step 4
Arrange the potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer (you can do this without oil; place them on foil), and set aside the cream — you will need it later. Next, add a layer of cheese. Continue alternating layers in the same manner, making sure that the top layer is potatoes.
Step 5
Pour the cream over the potatoes. Cover with foil. Place in the oven for about 30 minutes (adjust based on the number of layers – check for doneness).
Step 6
In a skillet, sauté the turkey or chicken fillets cut into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper, add a variety of vegetable spices, and pour in cream.
Step 7
Evenly arrange the pieces of fillet on the top layer.
Step 8
Grate the tomatoes and discard the skins, then remove the potatoes from the oven and pour the resulting tomato mixture over them (you can also add thin slices of diced tomatoes).
Step 9
Sprinkle cheese on top and place it in the oven for another 20 minutes.
