  • Egg Yolk 2 pieces
  • Mashed Potatoes 5 oz
  • Grated Parmesan cheese 5 oz
  • Chives 2 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
  • Chicken Eggs 4 pieces
  • Bread crumbs 2 cups
  • Sunflower Oil 2 cups

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix the yolks, mashed potatoes, Parmesan, chives, and flour in a medium bowl. Form walnut-sized balls and chill for at least 2 hours.

Step 2

Beat the eggs in one bowl; pour the bread crumbs into another bowl. Pour sunflower oil into a medium-sized skillet (about 2 cups) so that the depth is 1½ cm, and heat until a handful of bread crumbs thrown into the oil starts to bubble immediately. Dip the potato balls in the egg, then roll in the bread crumbs. Fry the potato balls in batches in the oil for about 3-4 minutes until a dark brown crispy crust forms. Place on paper towels to remove excess oil.
