Potato Casserole with Meat and Sweet Onions

Ingredients

  • Salad Potatoes 4 pieces
  • Ground meat 25 oz
  • Onion 1 head
  • Mayonnaise ½ jar
  • Cheese Spread 10 oz
  • Sweet Red Onion 1 piece
  • Grill Meat Spice Blend to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel the potatoes and onions. Slice the potatoes into 5 mm thick rounds. Finely chop the white onion and slice the red onion into thin half-rings.

Step 2

Prepare the filling. Mix the finely chopped onion, ground meat, spices, and about 200 g of mayonnaise.

Step 3

Next, take a baking dish, grease it with a thin layer of oil, and layer it with: potatoes, filling, onions, potatoes, etc. The number of layers can vary; I usually aim for 2 layers of filling. Optionally, you can sprinkle each layer or some individual layers with a tasty seasoning. The last layer should be potato. You can optionally spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on top and definitely sprinkle with grated cheese (in this case, you can't go wrong with cheese, so I say the more, the better).

Step 4

Place the dish in a preheated oven at 200–480°F for 40–50 minutes.
