Pork with Tangerines and Chili Sauce
Main Dishes • French
Description
If you can't find bok choy, you can use Napa cabbage or romaine lettuce. Just chop the Napa cabbage coarsely, or cut the romaine in half if the head isn't too large, or tear it if the leaves are big.
Ingredients
- Corn Starch 1 tablespoon
- Pork tenderloin 20 oz
- Sesame Oil 2 spoons
- Mandarins 4 pieces
- Grated Ginger Root 0 oz
- Chili jam 0 fl oz
- Soy Sauce 2 spoons
- Chinese Five Spice ¼ spoons
- Pak choi salad 3 pieces
- Scallions 5 stalks
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the pork tenderloin into strips and place them in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper, add cornstarch, and mix well.
Step 2
Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in a non-stick skillet, add grated ginger, and sauté for 30 seconds, stirring. Add the pork and cook for about 3 minutes. Then, add the mandarin segments (cut them with the skin on), stir, and keep on heat for 30 seconds. Pour in the chili sauce and soy sauce, and add the five spice mix. Bring the liquid to a boil and cook for one minute.
Step 3
Add the remaining sesame oil, toss in the halved bok choy, and cook everything together for 1–2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, transfer to a serving dish, and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
