Pork with Prunes
Main Dishes • European
Description
How to make pork juicy, aromatic, beautiful, and melt-in-your-mouth tender? You will find the answer in our recipe. First, you need to stuff the pork tenderloin with prunes, salt, and pepper, then quickly sear it in a skillet to create a golden crust that seals in all the juices. Finally, everything should be baked in the oven wrapped in foil, not forgetting to add fragrant herbs.
Ingredients
- Prunes 5 oz
- Pork tenderloin 1½ kg
- Celery salt 1 stalk
- Carrot 1 piece
- Onion 1 head
- Rosemary 2 stalks
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the pork tenderloin lengthwise, but not all the way through, creating a pocket. Then, carefully deepen the cut with a knife on both sides to widen the pocket.
Step 2
In this pocket, sprinkle in salt and pepper, stuff in the prunes, and tie it up with a string.
Step 3
Heat oil in a skillet, season the pork with salt and pepper, and sear it on all sides until golden brown. In the same skillet, sauté the coarsely chopped vegetables until they are golden.
Step 4
Place the pork on a baking sheet, add the vegetables and rosemary, and bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for 20 minutes.
Step 5
After this time, remove the meat, wrap it in foil, and let it rest for a few minutes. Then serve, for example, with mashed potatoes.
