Pork with apples and potatoes
Ingredients
- Potato 20 oz
- Safflower Oil 3 spoons
- Pork Skewers 4 pieces
- Apple 2 pieces
- Chopped Sage Leaves 9 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes, each side measuring 2–3 cm.
Step 3
Boil the potatoes for 5 minutes, then drain in a colander, dry them, and transfer to a clean bowl.
Step 4
Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Set aside.
Step 5
Pour some oil into a large baking tray (saving a little for the schnitzels) and place it in the oven for 5 minutes to heat the oil. Add the potatoes, stir, and roast for 15 minutes.
Step 6
Meanwhile, cut the apples into quarters and remove the seeds, then slice them into wedges. Add them to the potatoes, mix well, and bake everything together for another 15 minutes.
Step 7
In a large skillet, heat a small amount of oil. Season the chops with salt and pepper on both sides, and cook for 6–8 minutes on each side.
Step 8
At the very end, add the sage leaves to the pan.
Step 9
Transfer the cooked cutlets to a baking dish with potatoes and apples, and let them rest in a warm place for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Step 10
Serve the pork with apples and potatoes for lunch or dinner.
