Pork Souvlaki

Description
Souvlaki is Greek-style skewers. The meat marinated according to this recipe can also be cooked on a grill, in which case metal skewers are used. Souvlaki can be served with tzatziki sauce and grilled pita bread.
Ingredients
- Pork Neck 70 oz
- Olive Oil 5 tablespoons
- Dried Rosemary 1 teaspoon
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Onion 2 heads
- Lemon 1 piece
- Orange Bell Peppers 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the meat, pat it dry, and cut it into small pieces.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix olive oil and oregano. Peel the garlic, crush it, and add it to the marinade.
Step 3
Peel the onion and cut it into medium-thick rings. Remove the seeds and membranes from the pepper and cut it into rings.
Step 4
In a pot, combine the meat, pepper, and onion with the marinade, cover with a lid, and let it marinate in a cool place for 2–3 hours.
Step 5
Thread the souvlaki onto wooden skewers, alternating meat with vegetable rings. Preheat the oven to 355°F and bake the meat until cooked through (about 25–30 minutes). Serve drizzled with lemon juice and sprinkled with oregano.
