Description

Pork shashlik marinated in vodka with honey

Ingredients

  • Onion 0 lbs
  • Vodka 0 fl oz
  • Honey 1 tablespoon
  • Courgette 5 pieces
  • Tomatoes 15 pieces
  • Khmeli-suneli to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Pork Neck 5 lbs
  • Orange Bell Peppers 5 pieces
  • Shish kebab spice mix to taste
  • Carrot 3 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the meat, let it drain, cut it into pieces suitable for skewering, lay it out on the table and salt it. Let it sit for 20 minutes to absorb the salt. Rub with spices.

Step 2

Peel, wash, and slice the onion into rings.

Step 3

Layer the onion and meat in a pot.

Step 4

Dissolve the honey in vodka and pour the mixture over the shashlik, place a weight on top and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

Step 5

Remove the meat, mix it with the onion, add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and mix again. Skewer tightly and grill until cooked.

Step 6

Wash the vegetables, peel the carrots, cut large tomatoes in half, slice the peppers into rings, salt them, and sprinkle with vegetable spices (in this case, I limited myself to salt and khmeli-suneli), let the vegetables sit for 15-20 minutes, then skewer them and place on the coals.

Step 7

If you start grilling the vegetables at the same time as the meat, the zucchini and carrots will be al dente. If you start about 10-15 minutes before placing the meat over the fire, they will be soft and tender.
