Pork Shashlik in the Oven
Ingredients
- Pork Neck 25 oz
- Bacon 5 oz
- Onion 10 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce 5 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper 1 teaspoon
- Salt ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the pork into small cubes.
Step 2
Place it in a deep container, season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Chop half of the onion and put it in a blender.
Step 4
Add the tomato sauce and blend until smooth.
Step 5
Pour the marinade over the pork.
Step 6
Chop the remaining onion coarsely and add it to the meat.
Step 7
Mix thoroughly and let marinate for 1 hour.
Step 8
Slice the bacon into pieces about 5 mm thick.
Step 9
Soak the skewers in ice water for a minute.
Step 10
Thread the meat onto the skewers, alternating each piece with bacon. Arrange in a suitable baking dish so that the meat does not touch the bottom.
Step 11
Place in a preheated oven at 390°F.
Step 12
After 15 minutes, turn the shashlik and return to the oven, reducing the temperature to 355°F.
Step 13
After another 15 minutes, the shashlik is ready. Transfer to a plate and serve.
