Description

Any side dish will go well with such a luxurious meal, so don't hold back your imagination and prepare something simple. For example, mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables. Although the ribs turn out quite juicy, I recommend serving them with some sauces. This will make the dish more complete.

Ingredients

  • Pork Skewers 5 lbs
  • Honey 2 tablespoons
  • Soy Sauce to taste
  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Oranges 1 piece
  • Onion ½ piece
  • Salad Spices to taste
  • Sweet Chili Sauce 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Rinse the chilled ribs well. Then remove the membrane: make a cut on one side and slowly but firmly pull it towards you, and it will come off easily.

Step 2

For the marinade, mix sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce, paprika (2 teaspoons), black/red pepper, salt, dried rosemary (2 teaspoons), and basil in a small bowl.

Step 3

Cut the ribs and coat them with the marinade, leaving them for 3–4 hours, preferably in a closed container at room temperature.

Step 4

After the ribs have marinated, place them in a roasting pan, covered with a lid or foil, at a temperature of 390°F for 2.5–3 hours.

Step 5

When the ribs are ready, place them on a baking sheet. Generously brush them with the citrus-honey sauce (made from the juice of one whole orange and lemon, the zest of half a lemon, and 2 tablespoons of liquid honey, mix everything well).

Step 6

Bring the ribs to full readiness in the oven. This will take about 7 minutes at a temperature of 480°F. After that, the ribs need to be brushed again and flipped to the other side. Bake for another 7 minutes. The ribs should be covered with a golden crust but not burnt!
