- Brown Sugar 1 cup
- Paprika 1 cup
- Ground Black Pepper 3 tablespoons
- Salt 3 tablespoons
- Mild Chili Spice 2 tablespoons
- Ground Dried Garlic 1 tablespoon
- Dried onion powder 2 tablespoons
- Cayenne Pepper 1 teaspoon
- Pork Skewers 5 lbs
- Ketchup 2 cups
- Apple Cider Vinegar 1 cup
- Sugar 1 cup
- Celery salt 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cumin 1 teaspoon
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the seasoning for the ribs. Mix together brown sugar, paprika, ground black pepper, salt, 2 tablespoons of ground garlic, 2 tablespoons of dried onion, and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Rub the seasoning onto the ribs and let them sit at room temperature for 1 hour.
Step 2
Prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seeds, 1.5 teaspoons of cayenne pepper, 1.5 teaspoons of garlic powder, and lemon juice. Set the sauce aside.
Step 3
Preheat the grill. Place the ribs on the grill grate, meat side up. Cook for 2-4 hours.
Step 4
During the last 45 minutes, brush the ribs with the sauce. Serve the finished ribs with the remaining sauce. Enjoy your meal!
