Description

A classic that has stood the test of time and generations. Pork, when combined with pineapple, becomes light and vibrant. It's even better to use canned pineapple — it guarantees more sweetness.

Ingredients

  • Sweet Pepper 3 pieces
  • Pork Neck 15 oz
  • Onion 1 piece
  • Canned Pineapple Chunks 0 oz
  • Shimeji mushrooms 5 oz
  • Starch film 0 oz
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Ketchup 5 oz
  • Soy Sauce 0 fl oz
  • Mirin 0 fl oz
  • Rice Vinegar for Sushi 0 fl oz
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

First, you need to prepare the sauce itself. To do this, in a large bowl, whisk together sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and mirin. Set aside.

Step 2

Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings. Chop the peppers (it's better to use a mix of colors — yellow, red, and green), mushrooms, and pineapple into small, uniform cubes.

Step 3

Cut the pork into small cubes, coat them in cornstarch, and sauté in oil, stirring, for about seven minutes until fully cooked.

Step 4

Then add the chopped vegetables to the pork, increase the heat, and sauté everything for three minutes before stirring in the sauce. Lower the heat and let the dish rest for four minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve in deep bowls.
