Pork and Potato Stew
Ingredients
- Meat 30 oz
- Salad Potatoes 0 lbs
- Onion 2 heads
- Chicken Broth 15 fl oz
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Parsley to taste
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable Oil to taste
- Green peppercorns to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Bay leaf to taste
- Turnips 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash and peel the potatoes and carrots. Cut the potatoes into large cubes and the carrots into thin rounds. Finely chop the onion.
Step 2
In a small amount of vegetable oil, sauté the onion and potatoes with carrots until partially cooked. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Wash and dry the meat (preferably pork with a little fat). Cut into small pieces and fry in a small amount of vegetable oil until golden brown. Pour a little broth into the pan and season with salt. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
Step 4
In portioned ceramic pots suitable for oven cooking, layer the meat and vegetables. Pour the remaining broth over everything, add the bay leaf and peppercorns. Place the pots in an oven preheated to 355°F and bake for 30–40 minutes.
Step 5
While the stew is simmering in the oven, chop the garlic and finely chop the parsley. In a shallow bowl, mash the garlic and parsley together. When the stew is ready, serve it in the portioned pots, sprinkled with the mashed garlic and parsley on top.
