Pilaf with Spinach
Ingredients
- Boiled White Round Rice 5 oz
- Chicken Broth 0 fl oz
- Spinach 15 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Garlic 1 head
- Grated Ginger Root 0 oz
- Olive Oil 0 fl oz
- Black Cumin (Cumin) 1 teaspoon
- Macadamia Nuts 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the ginger with the peeled and finely chopped garlic and onion, add oil and sauté over high heat for 3 minutes. Add cumin, rice, hot broth, stir everything, and reduce the heat. Cook for 25–30 minutes, stirring once. After removing the rice from the heat, cover the pot with a lid for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Combine the boiled coarsely chopped spinach with the hot rice, season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve, garnished with toasted cashews.
