Pilaf with Almonds and Parsley
Ingredients
- Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
- Onion 1 head
- Almonds 0 oz
- Rice 1 cup
- Vegetable Broth 2 cups
- Parsley 1 bunch
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring constantly, until it becomes translucent.
Step 2
Add the almonds (chopped or sliced) and cook, stirring constantly, until they start to darken.
Step 3
Add the rice and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Step 4
Add the broth and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.
Step 5
Add the parsley and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, mix with a fork, and serve.
