Peas with Smoked Pork
Ingredients
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Onion 1 head
- Celery stalk 1 stalk
- Carrot 1 piece
- Pea shoots 2 cups
- Chicken Broth 2 cups
- Smoked Ham on the Bone 1 piece
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Finely chop the onion and sauté until the onion is soft and translucent.
Step 2
Cut the celery stalks and carrot in half and add them to the onion. Pour in the broth, add the peas and the pork ham. Bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat for about an hour (the time depends on the type of peas).
Step 3
Remove the ham from the pot, cut the meat, and return it to the pot. Season the finished dish with salt and pepper and serve. Enjoy your meal!
