
Pea Porridge from Canned Peas

Description
Porridge made from canned peas cooks much faster than from dried peas.
Ingredients
- Canned Green Peas 10 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Milk ½ cup
- Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Green Onion to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Drain the liquid from the peas and mash the peas with a pestle.
Step 2
Peel the onion, finely chop it, and sauté in butter until golden yellow.
Step 3
Add the onion along with the mashed peas to a pot, then add the butter, milk, and flour. Mix well.
Step 4
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
Step 5
At the end, add salt to taste and mix thoroughly.
Step 6
Before serving, sprinkle with finely chopped green onion.
