Description
Pea porridge can be consumed as a standalone dish, as peas are rich in plant protein, or it can be served as a side dish.
Ingredients
- Pea shoots 3 cups
- Water to taste
- Butter to taste
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the peas in cold water for 7 hours.
Step 2
Then drain the water and rinse the peas in a colander.
Step 3
After that, cover the peas with fresh warm water by about 2 fingers and cook until ready for 30–40 minutes, after which add butter, salt, and mash.
Step 4
Optionally, you can garnish with dill or parsley.
