Pasta with Shrimp, Garlic, and Parsley
Main Dishes • Italian
Description
You can use shrimp of any size, just do not cut them. Any type of pasta can be used, but make sure it doesn't overcook. Cream should be between 15% to 25%.
Ingredients
- 10% cream 15 fl oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Parsley to taste
- Salt to taste
- Safflower Oil 2 tablespoons
- King Prawns 0 lbs
- Pasta shells 20 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Clean the shrimp (do not throw away the shells and heads). Cut one tail into 2–3 pieces.
Step 2
Pour water into a pot, add the shrimp shells, and boil for about 10–15 minutes (broth for cooking the pasta).
Step 3
Mix the chopped shrimp with chopped parsley and minced garlic, and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
Step 4
Strain the broth through a fine sieve, place it on the heat, season with salt to taste, and cook the pasta in it until done.
Step 5
Drain the pasta, but do not rinse, and let the water drain. Return the pasta to the pot.
Step 6
Pour sunflower oil into a skillet and heat it.
Step 7
Sauté the shrimp over medium heat, stirring constantly, for no more than a minute.
Step 8
Add the cream and, stirring constantly, cook for another minute or two (the cream will start to slightly curdle at the edges).
Step 9
Add the shrimp to the pasta and mix well.
Step 10
Serve hot.
