- Pasta (corkscrew) 10 oz
- Salt to taste
- Cervelat Sausage 5 oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 5 oz
- Butter 3 tablespoons
- Wheat Flour 3 tablespoons
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Chicken Broth 5 fl oz
- Cream 5 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Ground Nutmeg to taste
- Thyme 3 sprigs
- Frozen green bean pods 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package, drain in a colander, and let the water drain off.
Step 2
For the sauce, sauté the flour in butter until golden. Pour in the milk and, stirring, bring to a boil. Add the broth and cream and cook for 5 minutes. Season with salt, ground black pepper, and grated nutmeg.
Step 3
Rinse the thyme, shake off the water, pluck the leaves, and chop them. Cut the sausage into small cubes, mix with the pasta, green peas, and chopped thyme. Place in a baking dish, pour with the creamy sauce, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake for 30 minutes at 390°F. Serve with ketchup.
