Oven-Baked Potatoes
Ingredients
- Potatoes 5 lbs
- Sunflower Oil to taste
- Butter 0 oz
- Sea Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Using a sharp knife, make cuts in the potatoes lengthwise with 1 cm intervals, then crosswise with the same intervals, without cutting through the tubers completely. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
Step 2
Pour 5 tablespoons of oil and add the butter to the baking tray, then place it in the oven for 3 minutes to melt the butter. Place the potatoes in the tray, cut side up, and drizzle with the melted oil. Bake for 1 hour, basting with oil every 30 minutes.
Step 3
After 1 hour, increase the temperature to 220°C, drizzle with oil again, and roast for another 20–30 minutes until golden and crispy. Season well with salt and serve.
