Oven-Baked Pork Ribs in Marinade

Ingredients

  • Pork Skewers 5 lbs
  • Onion 1 head
  • Garlic 5 cloves
  • Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
  • Honey 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Salt 3 teaspoons
  • Ground Black Pepper a pinch
  • Grill Meat Spice Blend a pinch
  • Water 5 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the pork ribs in a way that makes them easy to place in a baking dish. No more than three ribs in one piece.

Step 2

Prepare the marinade. Slice the onion into rings. Peel the garlic. Mix them together. Mash the onion to release its juice.

Step 3

In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and meat/shish kebab spices with water. (By the way, if you add a tablespoon of red wine, not as a substitute but along with the other ingredients, the ribs will turn out tender in the meatiest parts.) Mix well until smooth and pour into the bowl with the onion and garlic.

Step 4

Pour the marinade over the ribs and leave in a cool place for 1.5 to 3 hours, periodically basting the meat with the remaining marinade.

Step 5

Then, place the ribs on a baking sheet or in a baking dish. Here, it's a matter of taste: you can use aluminum foil and lay the ribs directly on it, covering them on top. You can also skip the foil; the ribs will just slightly brown more than usual. Place the onion rings from the marinade on top of the ribs.

Step 6

Preheat the oven to 390°F. Bake the ribs for 1 to 2 hours, periodically basting with the marinade.

Step 7

Garnish the finished ribs with vegetable slices. If you don't have a vegetable garnish, consider making a side dish. I preferred a stew with mushrooms and potatoes.
