Description
Oven-Baked Pork Knuckle with Mustard Marinade
Ingredients
- Smoked pork knuckle 1 piece
- Soy Sauce 5 fl oz
- English Dry Mustard 3 tablespoons
- Salad Potatoes 6 pieces
- Herbs 5 oz
- Lemon 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the pork knuckle for 1.5 to 2.5 hours, adding herbs (such as parsley or dill, to taste) to the pot after one hour.
Step 2
Marinade: mix the juice of 2 lemons with mustard, soy sauce, and salt.
Step 3
Remove the knuckle from the broth and coat it with the marinade, letting it sit for about 30 to 40 minutes.
Step 4
Slice the peeled and washed potatoes into rounds. Place the potatoes on a baking foil (this acts as a base to prevent the skin and meat from sticking to the foil, while also creating a juicy side dish), place the knuckle on top of the potatoes, and cover with another piece of foil, wrapping it up. Poke a few holes in the top with a fork. Place in an oven preheated to 180–390°F for 40 minutes to 1 hour.
