Oven-Baked Marinated Pork with Five Spices, Bok Choy, and Ramen Noodles

Ingredients

  • Pork tenderloin 10 oz
  • Udon Noodles 10 oz
  • Baby Bok Choy 5 oz
  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Chicken Broth 0 qt
  • Bamboo shoots 12 pieces
  • Scallions 4 stalks
  • Char siu sauce 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Cinnamon ¼ teaspoon
  • Sake 2 tablespoons
  • Chinese Five Spice ½ teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix the char siu sauce, spices, cinnamon, and sake, then add the pork to the marinade, stirring well. Let it sit for a few seconds, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 300°F. Heat a skillet well, pour in the vegetable oil, and add the pork. Sear for 2-3 minutes, turning constantly to form a golden crust. Transfer to a baking sheet and place in the oven for 50 minutes to 1 hour. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice diagonally.

Step 3

Cook the noodles in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until tender. Drain and rinse under cold water.

Step 4

Place the bok choy in boiling water and cook for 5 minutes until tender. Bring the broth to a boil. Divide the noodles into 2 bowls and ladle the broth over them. Top with the sliced pork, bok choy, bamboo shoots, and sprinkle with green onion.
