Oven-Baked Chicken with Lemon

Ingredients

  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Poultry 1 piece
  • Spices to taste
  • Chicken Broth 1 cup

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 390°F.

Step 2

Rinse the cleaned chicken carcass and pat it dry.

Step 3

Wash the lemon and gently pound it against a hard surface. Prick it with a fork.

Step 4

Salt the chicken inside and out, and rub it with spices.

Step 5

Place the whole unpeeled lemon inside the chicken.

Step 6

Pour 1 cup of broth (or just water with spices) into the baking dish, and place the chicken in it.

Step 7

Put the dish in the oven.

Step 8

Occasionally baste the chicken with the broth from the dish.

Step 9

Bake until cooked through, approximately 30–35 minutes.
