Ingredients
- Udon Noodles 0 lbs
- Vegetable Oil ½ cup
- Sugar 1½ cups
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour 3 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Butter 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cook the noodles according to the package instructions, drain in a colander, rinse, and let the water drain off.
Step 2
In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil.
Step 3
Add the sugar and melt it until it reaches a light golden caramel state.
Step 4
Remove from heat, add the noodles to the skillet, and quickly stir.
Step 5
Let it cool slightly, add the eggs and flour, season with salt and pepper to taste, and mix well.
Step 6
Grease a round baking dish with butter.
Step 7
Spread the kugel in the dish and smooth the surface.
Step 8
Cover the top of the dish with foil.
Step 9
Preheat the oven to 130–285°F (265–284 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake the kugel for 1 to 1.5 hours.
Step 10
Serve hot.
