Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
First, you need to make the filling. The dish can be made leaner by using only beef. Pass the beef and onion through a meat grinder, then add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 2
Slice the potatoes into rounds and fry them.
Step 3
In a skillet, sauté the bell pepper using olive oil.
Step 4
Peel the tomatoes. Mash them in a bowl. Add the minced garlic clove, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and finely chopped chili pepper (to taste).
Step 5
In a separate skillet, sauté the filling and add thyme. Then mix the filling with the bell pepper, add tomato sauce, and cook on low heat until ready.
Step 6
Slice the zucchini into rounds, place them on a paper towel, and sprinkle with salt. Then fry them in olive oil.
Step 7
For the sauce. In a saucepan, melt the butter (with a drop of olive oil), then add the flour and stir, then pour in the milk. You can add grated cheese to the mixture.
Step 8
Cook the sauce on low heat for about 15 minutes.
Step 9
Now, take a baking dish and grease it with oil.
Step 10
The first layer - place the potatoes, the second - the meat filling, the third - the zucchini; pour sauce over it, and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Place it in a preheated oven at 390°F.
