Mini Cheddar Donuts
Ingredients
- Eggs 3 pieces
- Clarified Butter 1¼ cups
- All-purpose flour 1¼ cups
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper ¼ teaspoon
- Cayenne Pepper ¼ teaspoon
- Cheddar cheese 0 oz
- Green onions 0 oz
- Paprika 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place a rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat the oven to 260°C (500°F).
Step 2
Take a baking pan designed for 24 mini muffins and coat it with cooking spray.
Step 3
Whisk the eggs until frothy, then pour in the clarified butter while continuing to whisk.
Step 4
While stirring, add the flour, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and then mix in the cheese and green onions.
Step 5
Spoon the batter into the cavities of the pan, filling them almost to the top.
Step 6
Place in the oven on the rack, reduce the temperature to 220°C (428°F), and bake for 15 minutes.
Step 7
Again reduce the temperature to 180°C (356°F), and bake for another 5-10 minutes until deep golden brown.
Step 8
Immediately remove the finished donuts from the pan to prevent sticking.
Step 9
Sprinkle with paprika if desired. Serve the donuts hot or at room temperature.
