Description

You can use either mussels in their shells or cleaned mussels. If you add Parmesan to the dish, you'll have mussels in Parmesan sauce. If you use Gorgonzola or blue cheese, it will result in creamy seafood. The dish can be served with white wine and garlic-rubbed toast sautéed in olive oil.

Ingredients

  • Mussels 20 oz
  • Dry White Wine 1 glass
  • Olive Oil 2 spoons
  • Onion ½ heads
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Cheese Spread 5 oz
  • Chopped Sage Leaves 1 tablespoon
  • Cream 5 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Sauté the chopped onion and garlic in olive oil for a few minutes. Then add the previously thawed mussels to the mixture, cook them for a short while, and pour in some wine.

Step 2

When the alcohol has reduced by half, add the cheese, parsley, and ground black pepper.

Step 3

Wait for the cheese to melt in the wine, then add cream to taste, bring it to a boil, and remove from heat.
