Meat Lasagna with Cottage Cheese Filling
Ingredients
- Lean Beef 5 oz
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 0 oz
- Cottage cheese 5 oz
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Ready-made dry lasagna sheets ½ piece
- Courgette 0 oz
- Carrot 0 oz
- Herbs to taste
- Onion 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the meat filling. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the onion until translucent, then add the ground beef and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly and breaking up clumps. Add finely chopped tomatoes in their own juice and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Step 2
Cottage cheese filling: In a large bowl, mix the cottage cheese, 2/3 of the cheese, eggs, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth.
Step 3
Slice the carrot and zucchini into pieces 1–1.5 mm thick. Blanch the carrot in boiling water until al dente, then cool in cold water. Grill or sauté the zucchini until partially cooked.
Step 4
In a baking dish lightly greased with olive oil, place a sheet of pasta, then a quarter of the meat filling, cover with overlapping vegetables. Spread half of the cottage cheese filling on top. Repeat the meat and vegetable layers. Finish with a layer of vegetables, the remaining meat filling, and sprinkle with grated cheese on top.
Step 5
Cover with foil or a lid and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20 minutes. Then remove the lid and bake for another 10 minutes until golden brown.
