Description

Meat in Oyster Sauce

Ingredients

  • Meat 1 piece
  • Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Carrot 1 piece
  • Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
  • Oyster Mushrooms 3 tablespoons
  • Corn Starch 3 teaspoons
  • Red Long Chili Peppers to taste
  • Paprika to taste
  • Vegetable Oil to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the meat (I used pork) into thin slices, julienne the carrot and bell pepper, and finely chop the garlic or use a garlic press.

Step 2

In a small amount of vegetable oil, stir-fry the meat with garlic in a wok for 3-5 minutes until the meat turns white.

Step 3

Add the julienned carrot. Stir-fry for 1 minute, constantly stirring.

Step 4

Add the bell pepper. Stir-fry for another minute.

Step 5

Add the oyster and soy sauce. (Soy sauce also acts as salt, so adjust the amount based on the size of the piece of meat and your taste). Stir-fry for 30 seconds.

Step 6

Add the hot and sweet red pepper (they say you can add sugar instead, but I personally haven't tried it). Stir-fry for 30 seconds.

Step 7

Dissolve the cornstarch in a small amount of water until it reaches a 'milk' consistency. Add it to the meat and stir-fry for another 30 seconds.

Step 8

It's ready, you can serve it!
