Mashed potatoes with wasabi and spinach
Ingredients
- Potato 20 oz
- Young Spinach "Belaya Dacha" 5 oz
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Parmesan Cheese 0 oz
- Wasabi to taste
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Boil the potatoes in their skins.
Step 3
Warm the milk in a small saucepan.
Step 4
Peel and mash the potatoes, adding warm milk and butter.
Step 5
Thoroughly rinse the spinach leaves and place them in a skillet, covering tightly with a lid or foil.
Step 6
After 3 minutes, the spinach will wilt, and the leaves will shrivel and darken.
Step 7
Combine the puree with well-drained spinach (moisture is the enemy of puree, as it robs it of its texture).
Step 8
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and season with salt to taste.
Step 9
At the end, add wasabi, adjusting the amount according to your preferences.
Step 10
This puree can be served with any fried or baked fish.
