Ingredients

  • Butter 5 oz
  • Salad Potatoes 0 lbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Milk 5 fl oz
  • Nutmeg ¼ teaspoon
  • Ocean salt to taste
  • White Pepper (whole) to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel the potatoes and cut them into 4 cm pieces. Place the pieces in a pot filled with cold water, add salt, and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to medium, cover with a lid, and let it cook for 20 minutes (do not let it boil). Remove from heat when the potatoes are soft. Drain the water.

Step 2

Return the potatoes to the pot, let them sit on the heat for a few minutes to dry, then mash until smooth. Using a wooden spoon, add the butter to the mash (one cube at a time), then pour in the hot milk and continuously whisk the mixture to achieve a smooth consistency.

Step 3

Taste and add salt or pepper if necessary. Optionally, you can add grated nutmeg. Serve hot.
