Description

To prepare bulgogi for four people, you will need 700 grams of beef (tenderloin), cut into strips. Rice makes an excellent side dish.

Ingredients

  • Beef 25 oz
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Apple Wine 1 tablespoon
  • Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
  • Ground Black Pepper a pinch
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Scallions 1 bunch
  • Sesame Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Toasted Sesame 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

To soften the beef (tenderloin), cut it into strips, add sugar and rice wine (if you don't have rice wine, you can substitute it with sherry or cola). Place it in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Step 2

For the marinade, mix soy sauce, black pepper, crush the garlic into it, add finely chopped green onion and sesame oil (if you want to make the dish spicier, I recommend using chili-infused sesame oil), and don't forget the sesame seeds.

Step 3

After half an hour, take out the meat and add the marinade, mix thoroughly, and put it back in the refrigerator for an hour (if you want to speed up the process, I have tried cooking it after half an hour — it turned out delicious anyway).

Step 4

Cook over high heat for 5–7 minutes.
