Ingredients

  • Smoked haddock fillet 12 pieces
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
  • Milk 15 fl oz
  • Lemon ½ piece
  • Dijon Mustard 3 tablespoons
  • Chopped Sage Leaves 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 355°F. Arrange the mackerel fillets in a single layer at the bottom of a baking dish.

Step 2

Prepare the mustard sauce. In a saucepan, melt 20 g of butter, add the flour, and cook for 2 minutes while stirring constantly. Gradually pour in the milk in small portions. Continue stirring and cook for another 10 minutes or until thickened. Remove the saucepan from heat, stir in the mustard and lemon juice, and season with salt to taste.

Step 3

Pour the sauce over the mackerel fillets, sprinkle with chopped parsley and pieces of butter. Bake for 10–15 minutes and serve in the dish.
