Liver Pâté with Rice
Ingredients
- Veal Liver 20 oz
- Onion 2 pieces
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Carrot 2 pieces
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Rice ½ cup
- Butter 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the rice in salted water (1 part rice to 2 parts water).
Step 2
Sauté 2 diced onions with 2 grated carrots until soft.
Step 3
Prepare the liver (cleaned of membranes and bile ducts; if using pork liver, it can be soaked in milk beforehand) and blend it with the vegetables (step 2) using a blender.
Step 4
Add 2 eggs, 2 cloves of garlic, season with salt and pepper, and blend again.
Step 5
Stir in 1 cup of pre-cooked rice into the mixture.
Step 6
Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake at 375°F until cooked (approximately 30 minutes). When a crust forms, pierce it in several places with a knife or fork.
