Ingredients

  • Veal Liver 20 oz
  • Sour Cream 5 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
  • Onion 1 head
  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the liver (beef, lamb, or pork), clean it from membranes and bile ducts, cut into slices, season with salt, sprinkle with pepper, coat in flour, and fry in a pan with oil.

Step 2

Then place it in a shallow pot, add the onion, finely chopped and lightly fried beforehand, sour cream, the juice from the pan where the liver was fried, and one cup of meat broth or water. Cover the pot with a lid and simmer on low heat for 25-40 minutes.

Step 3

Arrange the slices of cooked liver on a plate. Season the sauce obtained during stewing with salt, pour it over the liver, and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley or slices of green pepper. Serve with fried or boiled potatoes or pasta.
