Light Chicken Fricassee

Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet 20 oz
  • Carrot 1 piece
  • Butter 0 oz
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Wheat Flour 0 oz
  • Olive Oil 0 fl oz
  • 10% cream 0 fl oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the carrot and grate it on a coarse grater. Peel and chop the garlic. Sauté the carrot and garlic in olive oil until golden.

Step 2

Meanwhile, rinse the chicken breast fillet and cut it into fairly large, evenly sized pieces.

Step 3

Melt the butter in a second pan (it adds an incomparable flavor to the dish), coat the chicken pieces in flour, and place them in the hot pan. Fry until golden brown, about 5–7 minutes.

Step 4

Transfer the chicken to a baking dish, mix it with the sautéed carrot, season with salt and pepper, and pour the cream over everything.

Step 5

Place in an oven preheated to 355°F for about 20 minutes. The cream will thicken slightly. Once removed, stir everything again.

Step 6

Serve immediately! Rice makes an excellent side dish.
