Ingredients

  • Lentils ½ cup
  • Carrot 1 piece
  • Onion ¼ head
  • Minced garlic 2 cloves
  • Bay leaf 1 piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Spinach to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

In a large pot, pour in the water, add the lentils, carrot, onion, garlic, and bay leaf.

Step 2

Season everything with salt and pepper and bring to a boil.

Step 3

Cook for 15-20 minutes until the lentils are soft.

Step 4

Drain the water and remove the bay leaf.

Step 5

Transfer the contents back to the pot, but without water, cook the mixture for 2 minutes, stirring and adding spinach. Season with salt to taste.
