Ingredients

  • Water 15 fl oz
  • Lentils 5 oz
  • Onion 1 head
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Pour boiling water over the lentils, bring to a boil, and simmer on low heat for about 30 minutes (all the water will be absorbed).

Step 2

While the lentils are cooking, peel and chop the onion and garlic, and sauté in oil until translucent.

Step 3

Add the chili pepper.

Step 4

Add the sautéed onion and garlic to the cooked lentils.

Step 5

Mix well, season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6

Cover with a lid and let sit for about 10 minutes. (If you have an electric stove, turn off the burner.)
