Lemon Chicken with Sauce
Ingredients
- Poultry 8 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Olive Oil 4 tablespoons
- Garlic 1 head
- Thyme to taste
- Champagne Vinegar 0 fl oz
- Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
- Honey 3 tablespoons
- Lemon 1 piece
- Parsley to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet.
Step 2
Brown the chicken pieces over high heat for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown, along with the garlic and thyme sprigs.
Step 3
Generously splash in the vinegar and reduce the liquid by half. Drizzle with soy sauce and honey, and shake the skillet well to combine all the juices.
Step 4
Pour in enough hot water and add lemon slices. Bring to a boil for about 10 minutes until the liquid reduces to a syrupy consistency. The chicken will also be cooked through during this time.
Step 5
Place the chicken on a serving dish, drizzle with the sauce that has formed, and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
