Layered pie with chicken, mushrooms, and rice
Ingredients
- Puff Pastry 20 oz
- Pickled Chanterelles 10 oz
- Chicken fillet 20 oz
- Four Rice Blend 0.3 cup
- Onion 2 heads
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Mayonnaise 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Dill 1 bunch
- Parsley 1 bunch
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Spices a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces, season with salt and spices. Fry in vegetable oil over high heat until golden brown.
Step 2
Fry the champignon mushrooms (I usually use frozen sliced ones) until golden in butter.
Step 3
Chop the onion and fry until golden in vegetable oil. Mix with the mushrooms.
Step 4
Boil the rice and drain.
Step 5
Grate the cheese.
Step 6
Finely chop the dill and parsley.
Step 7
Combine all ingredients with mayonnaise, add garlic, and mix.
Step 8
Roll out the dough into 2 layers, each about 0.5 cm thick.
Step 9
Line a baking dish with parchment paper and generously grease with butter. Place 1 layer of dough in the dish.
Step 10
Spread the filling evenly over the surface of the dough. Place the 2nd layer of dough on top, make several cuts to allow steam to escape. Pinch the edges of the bottom layer of dough with the top to form a large pie. You can brush the top with egg for shine (I usually skip this).
Step 11
Place in a preheated oven at 390°F for 40 minutes, until the dough is nicely browned.
