Description
Lasagna with Bolognese Sauce
Ingredients
- Ground meat 25 oz
- Marinara sauce 20 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Milk 25 fl oz
- Ready-made dry lasagna sheets 12 pieces
- Wheat Flour 2½ tablespoons
- Hard Cheese 20 oz
- Olive Oil 4 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, place the butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Melt over medium heat.
Step 2
Gradually add the flour to the melted butter, stirring to avoid lumps.
Step 3
Once all the flour is incorporated, pour in all the milk. Set the heat to medium and simmer until the desired consistency is reached: not too liquid and not too thick. Continuously stir the mixture (also watch that it doesn't boil over).
Step 4
In a skillet, heat the olive oil. Add the ground meat and cover with a lid (for 2 minutes). Remove the lid and let it brown a bit (2–3 minutes).
Step 5
Pour the Bolognese sauce into the meat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 6
When everything is ready — the béchamel sauce (in the saucepan) and the meat — assemble the lasagna.
Step 7
Grease a baking dish with butter. Pour a little béchamel sauce at the bottom (just enough to cover the bottom slightly).
Step 8
Lay down the sheets (uncooked).
Step 9
Spread the meat mixture over the sheets.
Step 10
On top of the meat — grated cheese.
Step 11
On the cheese — béchamel sauce. You should add enough sauce to make the lasagna juicy.
Step 12
On top of the sauce, lay the dry lasagna sheets. Repeat the process (two to three times, depending on the size of the dish).
Step 13
For the last layer of sheets, spread béchamel sauce and top everything with cheese. Let it sit for 7 minutes while the oven preheats. Set it to 355°F.
Step 14
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
